Chitrannam ( rice made with corianderas main ingredient)
Ingredients : Cooked rice - 1 Glass riced cooked Coriander - One bunch big Mustard seeds - 1 Teaspoon Jaggery - 1 Teaspoon Salt as per taste Coconut scrapped - 1 Big piece Tamarind - Little Green chilli - 2 Small Turmeric powder - 1 pinch Seasoning - Mustard seeds, urad dal, chanadal, jeera, groundnut one tea spoon each red chillies-2, asoefotida one pinch, oil one tablespoon. Method of preparation: 1. Grind all the ingredients given above except rice. 2. Then put seasoning with mustard seeds, jeera , groundnut, red chilli, chanadal urad dal and asoefotida in one tablespoon of oil. 3. After seasoning is over add gravy to it, then add rice to it. 4. Serve hot with some pickle or raita. Nutritional values: Coriander leaves have antioxidants, and has Vit A, Vit E, Vit K, Vit B6 and so much nutritional values. Coconut has good cholesterol and fibre.
