Vegetable Biryani
Ingredients :
- Basmati rice - 1 Glass
- Vegetables - Potato, peas, carrot, beans, paneer, cauliflower
- Salt as per taste
- Saffron soaked in water for sometime
- Garam masala powder - 1 Teaspoon
- Ginger and garlic paste
- Bay leaves -2
- Curd - 1 Cup
- Cashew nuts and kismiss optional
- Coriander seeds, poppy seeds, jeera, one teaspoon each , coconut piece
Soak rice for half an hour in water. Clean all the vegs with water and peel the skin of vegs and cut into small pieces. Grind garlic , ginger , coriander seeds jeera, coconhut, poppy seeds into a smooth paste. Soak saffron in water for few mins. For one glass of rice add one and half glasss of water to cook. Add Bay leaves , cinnamon, cardamom, clove to the soaked rice and put into a cooker. Add all vegs and other ingredients as given above to the rice. Cook rice for one whistle and take it out. Have biryani with kurma or any other veg curry and with curd raita.
